FAQ

Treatment

  • What is the pain level?

The level of pain depends on your pain tolerance. Some individuals don’t feel much pain and some even fall asleep during the treatment.
Before starting any procedure Yumi begins by applying and allowing numbing cream to activate.
It is also recommended to take a painkiller (one without aspirin) an hour prior to treatment.

  • How long does the treatment take?

Depending upon the application, eyebrows take approximately 1 and a half hours and eyeliners take 1 hour.
This includes a review of instructions and explanation of the procedure for the treatment allowing time for the numbing cream to activate.
Application time is 1 hour for eyebrows and 40 minutes for eyeliners. Yumi will consult and spend time to custom design to clients needs.

  • Will I have any swelling?

Eyebrow application will have minimal swelling. Eyeliner application will have swelling and will return to normal after 1 to 3 days.
It is highly recommended that you cool down the treatment area with an ice pack to help with the swelling.

  • How long does it last?

Both eyebrow and eyeliner application can last approximately 2 years, depending on individual factors such as color of ink, skin type and individuals’ lifestyle. Application will diminish over time.

  • When can I expect to see results?

Expect to see results after 5 to 7 days after treatment.
There will be small scabbing (darker than usual) the next couple of days following treatment. This is normal. Allow your skin to heal and scabbing to wash away during this period.

  • Can I apply makeup after the treatment?

Yes, makeup can be applied but not to the area where Yumi has worked on.

  • Can I leave contact lenses in during the treatment?

For eyeline procedures Yumi requires that contacts be removed. Please bring your contact lenses container, solution, and glasses if needed. After treatment contacts can then be put back in.

  • I’ve had permanent makeup done by someone else and was not happy with the results, can you redo it?

Please schedule a free consultation with Yumi first. Yumi will review the options that you have to correct prior results and help you select the best option available.
